We’ve have had many great guest speakers in the past, but we are particularly pleased to announce that our next guest speaker will be At-Large Councilman, Robert White. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at All Souls Memorial Episcopal Church, 2300 Cathedral Avenue, NW.
White will have the opportunity to address two major bills that are moving through the council: One would require employers to give work schedules to employees at least three weeks in advance; the other, would make businesses pay a 1 percent tax to fund paid family and medical leave for all of the District’s workers.
We are pleased that Robert White has confirmed and will address the DC Federation of Citizens Associations after his first week as City Councilman at-large. Come out to show support for our new councilman, and invite your civic association and community members.
