Our June 27, 2017 general meeting is a very important one. There are many organizations in our city that influence our lives that we may know little about. We have invited two of them to talk about their organizations. Stephen Hanson, President, The Committee of 100 and Philip Pannell, Executive Director, The Anacostia Coordinating Council. They will give us a history of their organizations and their mission.

We will also conduct the election of Board members for the 2017 – 2018 term. The slate is as follows:

Bill 22-0044
The Federation Board voted to support Bill 22-0044 the “Senior Citizens Tax Relief Amendment Act of 2017”. Here’s a link to the online record:

Along with Councilmember Gray, the Bill was co-introduced by Councilmembers R. White, McDuffie, Bonds, Evans, T. White and Todd. Grosso also co-sponsored the Bill. We know this legislation will benefit a large segment of District residents.
