Dear Members and Friends,
I first want to send my gratitude to the outgoing president, Earl Williams, on a fantastic job as President. He led the organization through various challenges and managed to build up membership, kept us financially responsible, and brought us together during a “new normal.”
With the pandemic still prevalent, we will continue to meet virtually for the remainder of the year. If anything should change, I will routinely update our members and community stakeholders.
The Board has been very busy this year under new leadership. We have hosted a series of meetings and plan to hold two major events, which are still tentative. We plan to keep everyone updated as we move forward. The board has also hired a pro bono attorney to move forward with the name change from the Federation of Citizens Associations to the Federation of Community Associations.
As the talks with the merger have died down, the Federation has been ramping up on planning the tentative President’s Luncheon in December. Please mark your calendars as more details will be shared.
Lastly, if you have paid your dues of $100, thank you. If you haven’t done so, please consider applying and become a member. You can even pay on our website on our Membership Renewal page. We don’t fundraise; we use dues payments to fund all our efforts.
Please stay safe and healthy.
Warm Regards,
Phil Thomas
President
